Account Information

• Your name and email address (via Clerk authentication)
• Your chosen sign-in method (email, Google, or Microsoft)

Teaching Profile (Optional)

You may optionally provide your state, district, school name, role, subjects taught, certification path, and years of experience. This helps us personalize coaching. It is never shared with third parties.

Lesson Plans

• Sent to Anthropic's AI (Claude) for coaching analysis
• NOT stored by Anthropic after processing (zero-retention API policy)
• Stored in our database only as part of your coaching session record
• Never shared with other users, districts, or third parties
• Never used to train AI models

Coaching Session Data

For each session, we store your lesson plan text, coaching feedback, selected grade level, subject, standards, session ratings, and coaching PDF reports.

Payment Information

Payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details.

Support Tickets

If you contact support, we store your message, any attached files, and your contact information to resolve your issue.

• We do not track your browsing behavior outside of LessonCoach
• We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels
• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers
• We do not use your lesson plans to train AI models
• We do not share your coaching data with your school or district (unless you are part of a district plan with aggregate, anonymized usage data)

If your school or district has purchased a LessonCoach plan, your district administrator may have access to aggregate usage data (number of sessions, coaching areas flagged most frequently). Your district administrator does NOT have access to your individual lesson plans or coaching feedback. Your individual coaching sessions remain private to you.

• Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
• Coaching sessions: Retained until you delete them or close your account
• Deleted sessions: Removed from your view immediately. Anonymized data may be retained for analytics.
• Support tickets: Retained for 2 years, then deleted
• Payment records: Retained as required by law (typically 7 years)

You have complete control over your data:

• View your coaching history anytime from your dashboard
• Download coaching PDFs at any time
• Delete individual coaching sessions from your history
• Update your teaching profile anytime
• Close your account by contacting support@lessoncoach.us — we will delete all your data within 30 days

LessonCoach is designed for teachers, not students. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it immediately.

• All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Database access requires authentication and row-level security
• API endpoints validate user ownership before returning data
• Storage buckets for PDFs and attachments are private (signed URLs only)
• Third-party services (Clerk, Supabase, Stripe) maintain SOC 2 compliance

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of LessonCoach after changes constitutes acceptance.
